ABOUT CHIARA LUNGAROTTI
Chiara Lungarotti raised with the love for her land she breathed in ever since she was a child, in the mid-90s she graduated in Agricultural Science at the Perugia University with a dissertation on viticulture followed by several specialization courses in Bordeaux.
She joined the family company very early and directed the several group businesses in the fluid, hectic Italian and global entrepreneurial activity with courage and intelligence.
Her qualifications, resolve and passion quickly led her to bring about leading-edge technological and procedural innovations and changes both on the field (wine-growing) and in the cellar (wine-making). In tune with her creed of Preserve, Continue, Expand, today the Sole Director of Cantine Giorgio Lungarotti pays special attention in keeping a balance between respecting traditions and experimenting innovative techniques and development models.
Deeply in love with the countryside and all that surrounds it, she admits she knows the taste and the scent of the land. In addition to loving her job, she pursues several activities in the field of culture, where she makes important choices with the same competence and passion, believing in the key role the culture of wine and olive oil have in the development of the economy, history and art, both in Umbria and in Italy as a whole.
